The
summer sure did fly by, huh? Soon we’ll be eating turkey and pumpkin
pie! Before we get ahead of ourselves, I’d like to catch you up on my
summer and what’s going on for the rest of the fall. The High Crimes and Irie Sol
(both from Minneapolis, MN) albums are completed! Watch the video
from "the barn" (left) and listen to the Iries Sol song "Painted Skies"
(above). My all analog studio,“Welcome To 1979”
had a grand opening party earlier this month that was a smash hit with
over 100 people in attendance. Speaking of the studio, I just
acquired several vintage keyboards including a B-3 w/Leslie, Wurlitzer,
and a Fender Rhodes to really drive home the 1979 theme. I also bought
a freaking metric ton of analog tape across the summer, so anyone
booking a project between now and the end of the year will be offered FREE TAPE!
I’m also doing a lot of “analog-ing” of digital tracks for people
via FTP. It’s simple and affordable- just FTP me your individual
digital tracks (kicks, snares, etc) or completed mixes via my secure
server, I run them through my console and tape machine and FTP them
back to you. You get that fat analog sound right from the comfort
of your own home- how sexy is that?? I’ve also been updating chrismara.com with a videos page, studios page and updates to my gear list. Check it all out, and email me with any questions.
